The PCB IS COMING! Along with a hot new redesign of the layout and controls. I'm designing it to be as awesome as possible but without using any weird, hard to find or expensive parts that would make building the kit a pain. Another feature I'm excited about is that all pots and switches are mounted on board. That means 25 pots, 10 switch, 6 jacks and 5 leds that you DON'T have to run wires to. that will save you hours and hours of work. Also it means that the board can work on it's own with or without a housing.
I will be taking pre orders by October 15th.

Hay!

Lovely machine! I just wondering about pcb.. is there going to be a circuit board or just a pcb available?

Keep up the awsome work!

/cheers.

Rico: NO! it is 2N3906. The schematic is hard to read and the "9" looks like an "8". Sorry about that.

efabric: Sorry for the confusion. I changed the schematic to make it simpler and removed the 3 way switch. Now you simply use 2 SPST switches. ONE turns the oscillator ON. The second activates the rhythmic effect

Hello

i make a drone lab now, for the rythmique gate in the schematic you use a 2n3806, it's not a 2n3906? I don't found this composant in the electronics office...

Maybe there're a equivalent?

thinks

Hello, I've just finished a standard WSG, but now I need more sounds ! I want to modify it but need a little more exlanations about these points about your circuit :

"-4 Tone generators. Two can be pitch modulated, two volume modulated.
-4 Tone activation switches. 2 are 3 setting switches, up=on/center=off/down=volume modulation."

I don't understand where on your schematics are the two ways / center off switches.
I found 3 spst on the electronic half schematics and in the block diagram where I suppose two of them are linked together.

Are they 2p2t or sp2t ?

I've just stumpled across this whilst looking for a simple vcf circuit and I like what I see. I'm just getting going on making my own noise makers, I've read Nicloas Collins Handmade Electronic Music so I've done simple things with the hex schmitt trigger. I'm sure I can gain a lot of info from this schematic. I'm going to try my best to get this onto strip board, but if I fail I'll be buying one of your pcb's when you make them available. Cheers
