Come say hi and play with some synthesizers this saturday (october 20th) at the Groningen Maker Fair in the Netherlands!
I’ll be demo-ing the NovaDrone and will have a few kits for sale.
I’m sharing a table with Benjolin inventor Rob Hordijk. He’s bringing an epic modular system to try out. yay!

NovaDrone board jumpers

October 12th, 2012 | Posted in Blogroll

I’ve received a number of emails about 4 jumpers that have been added to the NovaDrone PCB. These were added to the board to unlock a cool feature we found after ordering the last batch of PCBs. I have written a more detailed note about it on the sales page.

So when you get your PCB dont be alarmed when you see a few small jumpers. They are there to make the NovaDrone more fun to use.

synth research

October 5th, 2012 | Posted in Blogroll

I’ve been working on an analog synthesizer design approach which invites musical AND developmental creativity. So far Ive been playing with breadboard/control panel hybrid systems which allow knob tweaking and on-the-fly circuit development. We’ll see how it develops. In the meantime I’ve been having a lot of fun with an oscilloscope hooked up to my prototype unit. Its a long video but its worth a full play through. So many crazy patterns!
